It is important for all firms to have assessed the impact that Brexit has on their business and to have implemented any necessary changes. Firms should:
• Considered what and how information should be provided to consumers. Information should be provided in a way which is clear, fair and not misleading.
• Firms that operate cross-border should discuss implications for their business with the relevant EEA regulator(s).
The European Commission, European Supervisory Authorities and certain member states/National Competent Authorities have published notices highlighting the implications of Brexit. Some have also provided for their own Temporary Permissions Regime and national legislation to mitigate the effects of Brexit.
